On Friday, February 28th, the Rappahannock Basketball team beat arch-rival Clarke County 59-58 in the semifinal round of the Bull Run District Tournament in Front Royal. The teams battled evenly through four quarters and two overtime periods before Senior Rob Brown sank a free throw with no time showing on the clock to clinch the victory.

The Panthers were led by Senior Tom Jenkins who had several key assists and 26 points. Also in double figures was Godfrey Freeman with 12. Point guard Garri Jackson provided solid floor leadership and drove the lane for 8 points.
