Librarian <:-* The library has concluded another successful series of Wednesday morning story hours for preschoolers. Volunteers Christine Sims, Dorothy Mank, Neecee Lane, and Liz Blubaugh told wonderful tales of Indians, dragons, and magic enlivened by singing, craftsmaking, and puppets. Our next story hours will be in May beginning Wednesday the 7th at 10 o’clock. All pre-schoolers are welcome.
New in the Library this month are a number of audiocassettes including the bestseller, Hunt for Red, October by Tom Clancy and The Spy Who Came in from the Cold by John Le Carre. Others are The Old Patagonian Express by Paul Theroux; Russell Baker’s Growing Up; Simenon’s Inspector Maigret and the Strangled Stripper; Hammond Innes’ Big Footprints; Nevil Shute’s On the Beach; John MacDonald’s The Long Lavender Look; Alan Paton Cry the Beloved Country; and Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne.
Southern Reflections continues Monday, March 17 at 7:30 with Dr. M. Thomas Inge leading a discussion of William Faulkner’s Sartoris.
