SPTA to meet Tuesday
The SPTA of Rappahannock County Elementary School will hold its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the RCES library. Sitters will be provided for children accompanying their parents. There are many items on the agenda for this month, including the annual fundraisers and school support activities, rugs for the kindergarten, a computer classroom campaign and school bus safety. The SPTA meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month and encourages as many parents as possible to attend. “We are looking forward to an active and productive year,” said SPTA President Cindy Andreoni.
Berry family reunion
The reunion of the late James Adrian and Bertha Ellen Clark Berry families will be held Sunday, October 5, at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited to attend and bring a picnic lunch, which will be served at 1 p.m.
Dance at Amissville
A dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be held Saturday, October 4, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Proper dress is required and persons attending must be 21 years of age. The band Crossroads will be performing. For reservations or additional information call 937-4357.
