Proper insulation is very important when it comes to saving you energy and dollars in your home. And these savings can be substantial; anywhere up to 30 percent of the heating and cooling costs compared to a home without insulation.
Because insulation keeps heated or cooled air from escaping through walls, floors and ceilings, your heating and air conditioning requirements are much less and, naturally, your home provides greater comfort at lower cost.
Maybe your home already has insulation. But it may not be enough or it may have shifted over the years. For greater comfort and economical operation, we recommend the following levels of insulation:
Ceilings - R-30 or a nominal 10"
Walls - R-11 or a nominal 3!6"
