Queen’

crowned

• The coveted title of Mr. Rappahannock was captured by Sean (geana) Wayland after a hot competition at Rappahannock County High School last Friday night. Eleven handsome RCHS students vied for the title, delighting the audience, tyhich responded appreciatively with applause and wolf whistles.

The competition, which is sponsored by the National Honor Society, was directed by Master of Ceremonies Jon Heddleston. This year’s winner was crowned by last year’s “queen,” Phillip Daczewitz. Judges were Freida Herman, Carla Scott and Brad Fisher.

Runner-up for the 1987 crown was Jay (Sandy) Burke, and third place winner was Noah (Naomi) Waggener. : Other students who competed in the Mr. Rappahannock contest were: Wayne (Juanita) Dodson; Brendan (Brenda) Finnerty; John (Jo-Ann) Brown; Thomas (MoonChild) Schoppet; Richard (Bambi) Manuel; Richard (Chastity) Dietz; Lewis (Marion) Fisher; and Nathan •(Natalie) Burke.
