I think it surprised him. But when you live with a man and read his stuff for 45 years, you’re bound to pick up something!”
Since her husband’s recovery from a heart attack, Mrs. Kilpatrick concedes that it’s not quite as much fun to cook. Many of her favorite recipes see the table only at Christmas and other special feast days and holidays. “But there’s a lot I haven’t changed. I always cut all the fat off meat. I always used only olive oil. And we always ate a lot of seafood and poultry.”
