Airman Roy R. Weakley,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Judd P. Weakley of Rt. 640, Amissville, has completed basic training at LacklamJ^AFB, Texas. He is now assigned as a communications specialist with a unit of the Air Defense Command at Hamilton AfcB, Calif. Airman Weakley is a 1967 graduate of Rappahannock High School.
A. L. (Ike) Eller, Associate Extension Animal Husbandman of Virginia Tech, will demonstrate freeze branding of cattle Dec. 5 at the D. D. Miller and Son Farm. Cattlemen are urged to be on time so they can see, hear and ask questions about every detail employed in this method of identifying cattle.

The annual Madison County
fox drag race was held last Saturday on the farm of Lawton Blankenbaker in Madison County. After the race, the horn blowing contests were held for both junior and senior classes. Little Randy Smith of Amissville was the winner of the junior competition. Young Randy blew some strong notes that rivalled the lungs of the more experienced hornmen.
The Rappahannock Jaycees are making preparations for a toy workshop at which they will repair and renovate toys for Christmas boxes to be given away. The club members are
