ACCORDING to “The Williamsburg Cookbook,” family meals in the colonies were ‘‘prodigious” by modem standards, at least in terms of the variety of of offerings. And during the Christmas holidays, family feasting, which often included numerous relatives and friends, grew even more elaborate. One holiday meal available to today’s holiday visitors to Williamsburg is called “The Baron’s Feast,” and includes many traditional colonial favorites.
