To the editor:
I think putting in a 4-lane highway between Washington and Sperryville is a very good idea. For people who need to travel this road daily, it will be a Godsend. The present two-lane highway is a very dangerous road, especially with the many 18-wheelers using it.
Not only that, there are several very bad intersections and turnoffs, such as the intersection at Rt. 622 that enters Gid Brown Hollow, and the entrance to the Rappahannock Farmers’ Co-op. Although there is a sign that says “turning vehicles,” some motorists don’t' heed it and a driver could get bumped clear off the road.
Also, this being the only main highway from Luray to Fairfax, in rush hour it’s also very dangerous. There are many motor
