Judges for the contest will be Drema Setti, a local artist and art teacher at Germ anna Community College, Dr. Priscilla Hynson, Associate Professor, Art Department of Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Joseph Dreiss, chairman of the Art Department of Mary Washington College, and Dr. William H. Bennett, associate professor, Art Department of the Univeristy of Virginia. Mary Allen, co-owner of the Carriage Lane Gallery in Culpeper, will coordinate the judges.
According to Mr. Slaughter, the Congressional Art Competition is a national competition coordinated and conducted by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, at no cost to the federal government.
