The 122,194 acres in Rappahannock County which are enrolled in the land use tax system add 15 cents to the county’s real estate tax rate.
Under the land use tax program, this acreage is assessed, for tax purposes, at a value of between $250 and $660 per acre depending on whether it is open or forested, and on its soil type.
