Applicants must have an interview with a Social Services staff member as well as a home study as part of the application process to become foster parents.

“WeYe looking for stable, welladjusted folks who feel they can take care of extra kids who will need some attention,” Mrs. Bowen said.

“The best foster parents are those who are tolerant of people and their differences and have some common sense. It doesn’t take a college degree to deal with kids —just some flexibility and a good head on your shoulders.”
