The Culpeper-Piedmont Choral ! Society Inc. announces its regular ; Monday night rehearsals will re; sume on Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the ; Fellowship Hall of the Precious ■ Blood Catholic Church, 401 N. Main i St, Culpeper. Music Director Lois ! Shanks said there are a few openings ! for new members who can read music and have had experience in singing four-part choral music. Anyone wishing to be considered for membership should arrive at the Sept. 11 rehearsal by 7:10 p.m. The choral society’s annual Christmas Concert will be given on Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church and on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. at the Lake of the Woods Church. Selections from the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah will be sung, as well as other sacred and secular seasonal music and carols. As the concerts are always free and open to the public, more patrons are urgently needed to help with the several thousand dollars in seasonal expenses.
