School Superintendent David Gangel presented the School Board with a $5.4 million budget for next year Tuesday night. This represents an increase of about $600,000 over the current budget.

The budget calls for $3.16 million in county funds, nearly $434,000 more than the current budget.

State and federal funds for the budget were reduced, state funds by more than $42,000 and federal funds by nearly $24,000. The other category of funds which increased is “other.” Included are funds from the RJR/Nabisco grant, and this is the main reason for the increase. Funds
