This month’s full moon occurs on the 8th at 4:46 a.m. EST, and since spring is just around the corner with the sap rising in the sugar bush, is sometimes referred to as the sap moon. It takes approximately 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. So, with all that water vapor rising during sugaring time it’s no wonder there’s so much rain in Vermont.
