This year’s Virginia State Income Tax return again allows Virginians to donate their tax refund to a special fund that pays for transportation for 500,000 Virginians who cannot drive because of age or disability.
Contributions made on Line 27-H of the state tax form go to the Specialized Transportation Incentive Fund. The Fund has just awarded grants totaling almost $100,000 to area agencies on aging and other human service organizations to serve both groups in some of the 100 counties and cities without public transportation.
