Perhaps the newly charge public mood will be fleeting, but I don’t think so. My perception is that the people have become increasingly concerned about the future of their nation and their state and the kind of government and society their children and grandchildren will inherit. And they have decided the folks they have elected to office need their help and guidance in shaping the direction of the future.
Not so long ago noted UVA Professor Larry Sabato was decrying the apathy of the Virginia electorate, I wonder what he is thinking now about voters who are keeping a sharp eye on Washington and Richmond and their home localities. I’m sure he has to be pleased.
