Mary Roberts
Mary Anna Roberts, 73, Front Royal, Va., died Feb. 26 in the Winchester Nedical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 4, at the Beulah Baptist Church at Markham at 12 noon with the Rev. Douglas Gore and the Rev. Clinton Washington officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Morris Cemetery at Hume.
Mrs. Roberts was bom Jan. 11, 1920 in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Johnnie and Elizabeth Turner Brooks. She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Sgt. Walter Roberts of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Carroll H. Roberts Jr. of Strasburg, John Roberts of Front Royal, Chester Roberts of Middletown; three daughters, Carolyn A. Roberts and Mary V. Johnson both of Front Royal, and Betty Morton of White Post; one brother, Charles Brookes of Warrenton, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberts was married to the late Carroll H. Roberts Sr.
Active pallbearers are Joe Ed Brown, Charles Jordan, Granville Lane Jr., James Cook, Lamuel Mosley, Jackie Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers are James Chloe, Paul Chloe, James Hugo Gaskins, Preston Green, Walter Roy, Richard Turner.
The family will receive friends at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, March 3, from 7 to 8 p.m.
