scale/larger budget shelter, we would like to send our dedicated manager to a conference in Florida.
This conference is sponsored by the Humane Society of the United States and promises to be well worth attending.
Topics to be covered include animal handling, rabies and rabies vaccination, spay/neuter clinics, and humane education.
Although we enjoyed such a successful year, there is always room for improvement and the knowledge gained would benefit the shelter, the animals, and the county, as the shelter would be run more efficiently.
Our request is that since we run so tight financially, and the care of the animals is our first concern, we are asking for donations to send Mary Lou to this conference.
If you are able to donate any amount at all, please write on your check that it is for this purpose, and send you check to R.A.W.L. P.O. Box 428, Washington, Va. 22747.
Any money we receive above this amount needed, will be used to care for the animals and to run the shelter. This would, again, be a great opportunity to upgrade our skills and management of the shelter.
