Dance at Amissville

The public is invited to the opening of Middle Street Gallery’s March exhibition “New Faces/Old Favorites” Sunday, March 7 from 3 to 6. The show features 13 new exhibiting members of the Gallery and two “old favorites” - Jeanne Drevas and Nina Moore. There will also be an open poetry reading at 4 p.m. with the theme of “New Words/Old Wisdom.” “Come read a poem you’ve written or one that you want to share,” said an organizer.
Ellie Paniello, dietitian with Culpeper Memorial Hospital, will be the guest speaker at the Amissville Health and Fitness Club at 10 a.m; on Tuesday, March 9, at the United Methodist Church on U.S. 211. She will discuss healthy living through good nutrition. She will also explain the hospital’s “Lifesteps” program and sign up anyone desiring to attend. For more detailaoall Cathy at 937-5024.
The Rappahannock Lions Club will hold its annual benefit auction at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department hall. Details will follow.
