Antique dolls:
to be shown
The Belle Boyd Committee of the Warren Heritage Society will be sponsoring and exhibit of antique dolls in Belle Boyd Cottage in Front Royal from March 7 through March 20.
The exhibit, “A Tea Party”, will feature the private doll collections of members from the Clarissa Massey Doll Club, as well as other individuals.
Dolls will be on display in all four rooms of Belle Boyd Cottage. A pleasant afternoon scenario will be set in the parlor where miniature musical instruments^oll carriages, and other doll furnishings will be displayed with the dolls.
Tea will be served in the dining room on miniature doll furniture that includes tables, chairs, and high chairs. It will be time for a nap upstairs in miniature beds and cradles. Doll clothing and accessories will be on display also.
On Sunday, March 7, the exhibit will open with a tea party hosted by the Belle Boyd Committee. The tea party will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 4 p.m.
The exhibit will be opened daily from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. except on Sundays, when the exhibit will be open from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. For those not able to attend the exhibit during the day, the exhibit will be open on two evenings; Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 17 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
