Fund raisers

thank county

To the Editor:

A big thank you to everyone in the community who supported the fund-raising efforts for the playground addition for the Rappahannock County Elementary School!

We met our goal and have many people to thank for that achievement: the RCES students who collected donations from friends, family and neighbors; the many businesses and individuals in the community who made generous donations; the Area Agency on Aging/Rappahannock Nutrition Site that helped prepare the hundreds of fun-raising packets used by the students.

It has been very gratifying to see so much support from so many for this very worthwhile project.

Finally, I also want to thank by fund-faising committee members: Cathy Kreyling, Sherry Pace and Laurie Marshall. This has really been a team effort.

Now, we can put that money to work! The building of the pirate ship and staff seating area will begin in April. Anyone wishing to lend a hand in building is invited to call Jonathan Neill-Dore (675-1461) or Peter Kreyling (987-8131). Come
