Ash Wednesday Service On Wednesday, Feb. 16 Amissville United Methodist is holding an Ash Wednesday Service to mark the beginning of Lent. The service will include the “Imposition of Ashes” and "The Lord’s Supper.” Lent is a time of self-examination, reflection, and self-denial as we remember the last forty days of Jesus’s ministry leading up to the cross. The congregation and Rev. Nancy B. White invite the community to attend this service at 7 p.m. Nursery will be provided for infants through five years. The church is located on 211 west of Amiss ville.
