I urging us all to contribute anything we can right now in Ki's time of financial need.
The word “unique” is overused but it is completely accurate as a description of fa Theatre. More than a theatre, Ki is a growing Rual Arts and Education Center, searching for, and increasingly finding, ways to contribute to our community.
Ki’s programs reflect that community spirit. We who have been fortunate to participate in Ki’s Christmas plays for the past three years have shared a joyous spiritual experience with our enthusiastic audiences, audiences made up of as diverse a section of our Rappahannock community as any we have ever seen.
Last October, at harvest season, Ki Theatre joined with the Rappahannock Farmers Association to offer the first of what we hope will be many farmer-artist festivals. “Crossroads” in its first year brought 360 participants, twice the number expected, and got national attention for its ability to forge ties between the arts and farming, two of our most important elements here in Rappahannock County.
Ki’s “Exchange” program appeals to a narrower segment of our community but has given rural artists of all kinds—filmmakers, choreographers, painters and sculptors, writers and composers—the opportunity to demonstrate their work and
