Walter Southard
Walter Harold Southard, 65, of Culpeper died on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at his residence.
A native of Culpeper County, he was the son of the late William and Lillie Strother Southard.
He was a self-employed wrecker operator and used car dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Settle Southard; a daughter, Lisa Southard of Culpeper; two brothers, John Southard of Culpeper and Jack Southard of Castleton and a sister, Lucy Mae Carrick of Seabrook Acres, Md.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 11 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. C.R. Woodard officiating.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Howard (Speedy) Green Jr., Everett Dowell, Wayne Carwile, Robert Peters, David Southard, Frank Jenkins, Tommy Hutcherson, Boyd Carpenter, Clyde (Bill) Kidd and Charlie Nicholson.
Margaret Eastham
Margaret Lougene Eastham, 59, of Flint Hill died Monday, Feb. 7 at Orlean.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Merlin Shorb.
Burial was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Eastham was bom Oct. 30, 1934, in Washington, the daughter of Ida V. Harty of Fairfax and the late Thomas F. Harty.
She was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and the wife of the late Thomas Granville Eastham.
Mrs. Eastham was also predeceased by a son, Thomas Harty Eastham.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two sisters, Barbara H. Luke of Port Richey, Fla. and Catherine H. Sinnott of Flint Hill, and a brother, Thomas Arthur Harty of
