Farmers tax guide for use in preparing your 1993 tax return are available at the Extension Office call 675-3619.

Health Care Series

The Natural Marketplace in Warrenton is hosting a unique series of workshops on health care and herbal medicine. Beginning on March 3, and on every Thursday in March, each class will teach basic anatomy, physiology, origins of common disorders, and natural therapies. The purpose of this series is to familiarize people with important aspects of self and family care, and to regain the confidence and self-sufficiency that comes from working with our bodies innate healing mechanisms.

The topics to be covered are: March 3 immune system; March 10 respiratory/digestive systems; March 17 nervous/circulatory systems; March 24 women’s health and March 31 children and natural first aid. The fee is $70 for the series. To register, please call the store at 3494111.

CPR Class Scheduled

Washington Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring a C.P.R. Class for the general public. C.P.R. when performed correctly, can be a life saving technique.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 and from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. All age groups are welcome to attend. There will be a limit to class size so please register early. To register or for more information call Thora at 675-1282 or the department at 675-3615.

Transit Will Not Operate

CSC Transit will not operate on Monday, Feb. 21 in observance of George Washington’s Birthday. CSC Transit is a program of the Rappahannock- Rapidan Community Services Board.

CSC Transit serves the general public as well as clients of the Rappahannock- Rapidan Community Services Board in the five counties of Planning District 9.
