the arts, our community is on the verge of losing its image of leadership in the arts. The problem is inadequate financial resources for community organizations including Ki Theatre, RAAC, Middle Street Gallery, and the Theatre at Washington. These all are at the heart of the arts activities in the community.”
Mrs. Furtick feels both the business community and the public at large need to launch a renewed effort to insure the arts continue to flourish by promoting increased funding for Ki Theatre and the other groups that are the moving forces behind the development of the arts. The efforts by the Realtors should encourage other groups to take similar steps, Mrs. Fertick hopes.
