Leadership skills are developed through training and practice. Leadership skills are useful throughout life. Teens who eiyoy working with younger children have some unique opportunities as teen leaders at a variety of 4-H camps. These include Day Camp, Junior 4-H Camp, and Cloverbud camps. Teens also serve in leadership roles in dubs, at active ities and events, and at workshops. *
An excellent leader training opportunity ip available for teens on Friday evening, March 4 and Saturday, March 5. These 16 hours of training will be held at Culpeper Holiday Inn and will involve teens from more than a dozen counties that camp at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal. The workshops will be led by teen and adult volunteers, Extension staff, and Center staff. Preregistration is required to attend.
