The board heard a presentation on the “whole language” program Si first grade. A group of first gradefls showed that they are indeed learijing to read with this method. Their teachers said they are also learning many other language arts skills with the program, and all elements of tfep curriculum, including math, science and social studies are integrated with the language program. “
