Call for Mass Meeting of the Republican
Party of Rappahannock County
I, Ronald L. Frazier, chairman of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee, do hereby issue a call for a mass meeting of all members of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County, to be held at the Rappahannock County Court House on March 21, 1994, at 8:00 PM.' Registration will be from 7:30-8:00. PM All persons in line at 8:00 PM will be admitted. The purposes of the meeting are: 1. To elect officers and members of the Rappahannock County Republican; Committee. 2. To elect' delegates and alternates to the State Convention of the Republican Party of Virginia for the purpose of nominating a candidate for United States Senate. 3. To elect delegates and alternates to the lOfh Congressional District Convention for the election of 10th District Chairman. 4. For the transaction of other business as may properly come before the meeting. Rappahannock County is entitled to 12 delegate votes at the State Convention and 12 delegate votes at the Congressional District Convention, based on the Republican Party of Virginia Delegate Allocation. Up to five delegates and five alternate delegates may be elected for each delegate vote, so that a total of 60 persons may be elected as delegates and alternate delegates. The delegation shall vote under the full vote rule. The state convention will be held June 3-4, 1994, at the Richmond Coliseum with a fee of *35. The 10th District Convention will be held May 21, 1994, at Strasburg High, Strasburg, VA, with a fee of *15. Pre-filing for delegates is required either hand delivered or postmarked by March 14, 1994. Pre-filing may be done by declaring your intentions in writing and sending it to Ronald L. Frazier, Rappahannock Republican Committee, Amissvillc, VA 22002, Telephone 93/-5983. All convention fees should accompany pre-filings or be paid no later than the mass meeting. Qualifications for Participating in Party Actions: All legal and qualified voters of Rappahannock County, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin or sex, under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who express in open meeting, if requested, their intent to support all of its nominees for puolic office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries in their respective election districts. All individuals interested in serving on the Rappahannock Republican Committee and/or as officers shall declare their intent in writing by the aforementioned deadline.
