Its tune for the Rappahannock County Library Winter Book Sale,” to be held at the Rappahannock Library over President’s Day I weekend from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 19 ahd from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday. There will be thousands of new, old, and used books for sale. All of these books have been donated to the library.
Nutrition Center Program
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the Health Promotion/Screening Program to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center at 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 18. Ann Bunts, RN will give a stroke video presentation. (
Brunch and Bake Sale
Madison County Rescue Squad will host a benefit brunch and; bake sale from 8 a.m.-l p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20 at the Squad Building in Madison.
The menu will include sausage and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, . piced apples, hash browns, biscuits, sweet rolls, juices, milk and coffee. Prices are $5 for adults, $4 for those under 12 and children under four are free.
Culpeper Day Planned
The Culpeper Jaycees will be sponsoring “Culpeper Day” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7, on Davis Street in downtown Culpeper. The festival will take place rain or shine. Persons interested in reserving a space to display crats, information and/or exhibits must send a completed entry form by April 15. The cost of each space (equivalent to a parking space) is $25. The Library Board of Directors meeting will be held at 10 .m. on Feb. 24 at the library.
Dance at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 with the band Pure County featuring Steve Dennis, Larry and Barry Jolliffee. For reservations call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
Buffet Breakfast Planned v
A buffet breakfast will be held at Washington Volunteer fire hall from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include sausage, bacon, homemade biscuits, gravy, French toast, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, fried apples, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice.
All proceeds will benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children.

On Friday, March 4 at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library “The Psychology of Color,” Tom Zumwalt, Interior Designer will present a nroeram. All are welcome.
