At the Native American Festival held at Market Square in Alexandria on Saturday, Aug. 26 Del. Jay Katzen (R-31 st) was honored as “Outstanding Citizen of the Year" by the American Indian Alliance and the American Indian Cultural Exchange.
Mrs. Thomasine Jordan, co-chairman of the event, said that.candidates for the “Outstanding Citizen” award must “show us they have given exceptional serv ices to the community at large — to those in need of their services and are always on call.”
