School Superintendent David Gangel said the school system is “very close” to being at the point where it can commit to putting a hard surface on the track. He said he anticipates being able to use funds from the bonds for the elementary school addition for that project as well as plans for overhauling the high school earth science lab, lights for the high school parking lot and perhaps improvement to the soccer field, but first he must be certain the funds will be left over from the sewer system upgrade at the elementary school.
