from real issues of this campaign, this is an example of one of the problems with Mr. Katzen. What he says does not match up with what he does.
Let me state what I see the issues of this campaign are. Mr. Katzen’s deeds in Richmond have not matched his words of 1993. Mr. Katzen’s actions in Richmond have not represented the needs and wishes of the voters in the 31 st District. He was too busy following an extremist agenda to pay attention to these concerns. Mr. Katzen also doesn't understand what these needs are. He didn’t know what they were when he moved into the district in 1993, and he hasn’t learned them since.
Sue Scheer has lived for 30 years in the 31st District, running a farm, and raising a family. During this time, she has helped and served the people of this district in a variety of ways, with no expectation of reward or praise, and when there were no TV cameras rolling. She has a much better understanding of what is needed in the 31st District than does her opponent. One indication of this is the financial support she has received from many of these who supported Mr. Katzen in the last election, most of whom are Republicans. In Richmond she will represent all the voters of the 31st District.
