TITLE: EMPLOYMENT COUNSELOR POSITION: TEMPORARY (THRU 6196) GRADE: 09 SALARY: $22,426 TO $34,240 OPEN TO: GENERAL PUBLIC LOCATION: CULPEPER & SURROUNDING COUNTIES CLOSING DATE: SEPT.8TH
DUTIES: Provides job placement, training and retention services to persons with severe mental and physical disabilities in the Culpeper area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires: Knowledge of social, economic, medical and emotional concerns of persons with disabilities; knowledge and understanding of working within a team environment is extremely important; ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals and employers; ability to communicate both orally arid in writing vocational objectives based on analysis and observation; good organizational and case management skill; ability to recognize and build upon strengths of individuals by providing program planning and specialized training for persons with disabilities.
Should possess an academic degree in human services related field or combination of academic and related work experience.
