Four vehicle accidents were reported in the county during the last week.
According to Sgt. Harry Newlin of the Virginia State Police, on August 22 at 9:52 p.m., a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier owned and operated by Warren M. Roy, II, 36, of Amissville, struck a bull on Route 729, 1.4 miles south of U.S. 211. Mr. Roy was going about 45 mph when the accident occurred.
Mr. Roy and his passengers, Cynthia J. Roy, 37, and Sara E. Roy, 4, sustained minor injuries. The bull, owned by W.L. Payne of Amissville, also received minor injuries. The accident was investigated by State Trooper Woodard, and no charges

Dean's List
Cadet Michael L. Brown was among 263 VMI students who were named to the Dean’s List for the 1995 spring semester.
In addition he was declared “Distinguished in General Merit” for the 1994-95 academic year, which makes him eligible to wear academic stars.
Cadet Brown, a rising junior, is majoring in civil engineering.
