Republican Primary The Voter Registrar’s office is accepting absentee ballot applications and allowing absentee voting for the June 11 Republican primary where incumbent Sen. John Warner is being challenged by Jim Miller. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. In addition the office will be open Saturday, June 1, and Saturday, June 8, for absentee voting. Tax Rate The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday night to advertise a real estate tax rate of 75 cents per $100 for the next budget year. This represents a six-cent over the current rate of 69 cents. All other tax rates will remain the same.
