The Panthers got an early 1 -0 lead in the first inning, but Brentsville came back with two runs in the second. The Panthers tied the score in the third inning, but then Brentsville answered with three more runs and led 5-2. The Panthers had another run in the fifth inning, but Brentsville added two in the sixth.
The Panthers again outhit the opposition five to four. Again Cari Kerr led with two hits. Courtney Welch had a home run. Emily Taylor and Courtney Mauro had singles.
The Brentsville pitcher ordy gave up two walks, but the Panthers only made two errors. Coach Payne said he felt this was the team’s best game of the year.
Coach Payne said Kiersten had an outstanding game in center field with six put outs and two assists, including “two outstanding catches and one beautiful throw to third base.”
