Students will learn to identify, gather and prepare edible wild leaves, roots and flowers growing in Rappahannock County. Campfire cookery and emphasis on survival foods will also be included. Menus will include boiled milkweed pods, chicory coffee, herbal teas, lambs quarters (a plant!) and weed salad. Each student will make a journal of recipes and simple botanical drawings for future refefepce. Come and eat your way through a week of summer! Ages 10-13.
