Dance Scheduled

SF.V.F.D. Carnival Planned

The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival is being held July 24, 25, 26 and 27 at the Flint Hill Fire Grounds. The parade will be on Friday, July 26. This year’s grand prize will be a Chevy S-10. Tickets are *" available from any member or several local merchants.

Spring Workshop Series Scheduled

The IRIS Centre for Shamanic Studies will present its Spring workshop series at the Centre, 325-B Middle Street in Washington.

“Sacred Circles: A Ritual Art-making Workshop for Women” with Kathleen Oettinger, ritual artist and Denise Horton, Ph.D from 7-9 p.m. on May 17 and from 10-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.

Other workshops will be held on June 1, June 14 and June 15. The fee for full-day workshops is $95; half-day workshops are $45. Friday evening slide-lectures are $5. Limited scholarship aid is available. To register, call Denise Horton, PhD., Director, 675-3003.

Soccer Camp Open for Registration

The Rappahannock Soccer League is sponsoring a local soccer camp, July 9-12. The mini-camp, for ages 6 and 7, will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m! and costs $100. The older camp, ages 7-14, will run 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and costs $125. The camp will be held on the RCES playing fields. The instructors are from the Soccer Academy in Fairfax.
