He suggested the speed limit be 35 miles per hour along Main Street from when it first comes off of the four-lane U.S. 211. Currently it is 45 miles per hour for a while then drops, to 35 miles per hour at Robin and Jon Purnell’s house outside town and then to 25 miles per hour at the Middleton Inn.
