apple, supported by a wicked serpent made of poplar wood. B.J. has a unique imagination.
When I went to examine the auction donations, 1 met John Trott bearing two of his colored photographs of birds, one of which is an illustration in the Audubon Society's book of birds, two Wood Thrushes, a painterly composition, colorful and well designed.
The riches of this auction collection are more than I can comment upon: A Robin Purnell pastel, photographs by Bruce Blundell, two of which are delicately colored, and a Margaret Novack pastel that was hard to leave. June Jordan, Judith Einstman, Barbara Heil Sherwood, and Sandra Burton, among many others are well represented. It takes an occasion like this one to bring home to us that as well as living in a community of unique natural beauty, we also dwell in a rare community of talent.
Mary Brownstein's bronze sculpture 'Dancer with Dog' and Mary Ann Stucken's etching 'Dancing Trees' are two of the items offered at the Middle Street Gallery's auction Sunday.
