A full Fall season is anticipated — with the second visit of the year from Mountain Memory Walks scheduled for late October. Several weddings have booked all rooms and one will take place on the Inn's grounds early in the month. A former guest has scheduled a "significant birthday" celebration fro the 6th of October.
A successful Wine and Cheese Pairing event was hosted by Thistle Hill for the benefit of the Piedmont United Way on September 11. Approximately 50 guests attended the reception. Cheese from The Bam at the Poges was featured.
On September 27th Marianne Wilson leaves for New Orleans to attend the International Pastry Conference and Trade Show sponsored by Chef de Chef Magazine. She will attend pastry making seminars as well as the trade exposition.
During the first two weeks of November, Thistle Hill will be offering free Pastry Classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Attendance is limited to 6 and to make reservation participants need to call 987-9142. Favorite recipes of Thistle Hill will be shared. Call now!
