accommodate the child care center, and the bottom floor the learning center. The child care center will be staffed by 20 full-time employees who are certified in early childhood development.
The child care center has already registered 20 of the 87 children it can accommodate.
Planned to operate from 6 a.m. to 10 pm., Monday through Friday, the facility will offer some weekend hours. Evening babysitting will be available as well.
"We feel there's a great need for [the child care center] in our community,” Dr. Jeffries said. "We're trying to help working parents."
Plans call for a dinner take-out service in the child care center to help parents who work all day.
