of the hundreds of details. # mBut Fauquier Hospital has plenty of proof that its annual Alive And Kicking Health Fair is worth the work.
Over the years there have been numerous testimonies — a middle-aged man who lives today because his prostate cancer was discovered at the Alive And Kicking Health Fair; a man whose skin cancer was detected at one of the free screenings; a woman whose dangerously high blood sugar was detected in time to get her to the Emergency Room before she went into diabetic shock.
The halls of Fauquier Hospital will be full of healthy activity as this year’s Alive And Kicking Health Fair gets underway Saturday, Sept. 28. Now in its eighth year, Alive And Kicking has become a popular fall event in the community. Last year more than 1,000 people flocked to the hospital to take advantage of more than a dozen free health 'screenings, free health literature, information booths and children’s activities.
