Chris Sause was 30th, Matt Wolfe 32nd, Chad Heddlesdon was 47th, Caleb Proper was 49th, Nile Watson was 62nd, Jeff Atkins was 69th, and Tommy Baldwin was 75th.
Fort Defiance was first with a score of 57, Turner Ashby second with 83 points and Harrisonburg third with a score of 98. Rappahannock scored 220.
Among the girls Meghan Fairbrother was 12th, Jessica Gheen was 28th, Caroline Baumgardner 33rd, Alison Lofton 42nd, Emily Sims 51st, Lauren Sharp 66th and Beth Yowell 72nd. Spotswood was first with a score of 37, and Turner Ashby second with a score of 101. Rappahannock's score was 166. '
Coach David van de Graaff said, "The season is loaded up with the maximum number of meets. The three invitationals give the kids a good glimpse of what it’s like throughout the state.”
He is particularly pleased that his runners will be competing in the William and Mary Invitational meet Saturday, Oct. 5 in Williamsburg because William and Mary is tops in the state in collegiate competition.
