A minor accident involving a motorcycle happened on U.S. 211 in Sperryville about 8 p.m. Friday. Trooper C.M. Krummett said that Kestie Pierce of New Castle, Delaware, was driving in a group of motorcycles eastbound on U.S. 211 toward Sperryville. Mr. Pierce told Trooper Krummett in a curve a truck pulling a trailer was on his side of the road and he swerved to avoid it, and laid down his bike. He received only minor injuries — a hole in his jeans. No one was charged in the accident.
