The Pains
Of Change
To the Editor:
WeH, It's happening again! The cosmic forces of change are gathering and coalescing to do their work on my life.
I will miss the old steel bridge on the west bound lanes of Route 211 over the Rappahannock River. I will miss driving among the trees and through the welcoming arch of the steel truss and being able to look down to see the river water flowing over rocks. I will miss feeling the strength of the structure, the expressive steel sinews, the nuts and bolts, the structural beauty, the muscle and character of design.
But, I also miss Woodward and Lothrop's, Garfinckel's, Lewis and Thomas Saltz, Arthur Adler's, Bertram's pipes, Mayflower wines, Duke Ziebert's, Joe and Mo's, etc. etc.
I guess the mayor of our nations capitol was right for once when he said "Hey, get used to it."

To the Editor:
We need someone in the White House who is honest, competent and trustworthy.
America needs a president who is true to his word, doesn't flip flop on the issues, and won't change the facts to suit his political needs.
Our nation needs a leader who says what he means, and means what he says. We don't need someone who has an escape clause in every state
