From 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hospital will open its doors to anyone who is curious about their cholesterol level, wants to know their blood pressure or body fat composition, or wants to be checked for anemia, breast cancer, diabetes, hearing problems and more. The fair also features mini-courses on cardio-pumonary resuscitation and the Heimlich technique, short lectures on such topics as skin cancer, heart attacks, weight loss and diabetes and tours of the hospital.

“Each year we try to add something new and different,” said Michelle North, Fauquier Hospital’s Community Relations and Health Outreach Coordinator. “At this year’s fair we’ve added a Women’s Health Hall, with information and exhibits on things like osteoporosis and anemia, and we added some mini-lectures, and the Fire Safety House.
