from investment funds to pay for the new letters for the front of the library which should be here in about a week. The report was approved as received.
It was also reported by McCarthy that the county was audited through the fiscal year which ended June 30, 1997. When asked about how the library came out he said there were no reportable conditions at all, everything was “clean as a whistle.”
The board then moved to approve the treasurer’s work for that year and all approved the motion.
There were no reports from the personnel or policy committees. The building and grounds committee reported that the stone wall along the front of the library property is almost complete.
Work on the walkway has started and will cost $1250. The board approved that 25 percent of that amount be paid to Tommy Starks, who is doing the work, as advance money for materials.
There was no old or new business and the board moved to adjourn.
